The purpose of this training is to provide an overview of the Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE) Program, which provides qualified beneficiaries with immediate temporary, no cost Medi-Cal benefits for up to two months. This module will, also, discuss the process for HPE providers to enter the patient’s information into the web-based HPE Medi-Cal application portal to enroll hospital patients into the HPE Program to receive temporary Medi-Cal benefits.
