Newborn Gateway Presumptive Eligibility Provider Certification Training for NPI-3 Course (NGPE103-3)
Enroll and complete this training if you support Newborn Gateway Presumptive Eligibility services for the NPI3 on your MLP user profile. The Newborn Gateway Presumptive Eligibility (NGPE) Provider Training provides required supplemental training to Qualified Providers (QP) who submit Hospital Presumptive Eligibility, Children’s Presumptive Eligibility or Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women applications for patients. The Newborn Gateway requires QPs participating in presumptive eligibility to enroll newborns with linkage to Medi-Cal or Medi-Cal Infant Access Program within 72 hours after birth or 24 hours after discharge. QP staff will be unable to submit presumptive eligibility applications without completing this supplemental training.
